About Ollee Watch.
Hello! I’m an electrical engineer that has spent most of my 15 year career in the design, development and manufacturing of wearable electronics. Naturally my passion for this space started at a young age, having been a Casio watch owner since I was a kid, my fondest memory being the VDB-200 touchscreen watch. That thing blew my mind - all that technology packed into something you put on your wrist and can access anywhere, any time. Flash forward to today, we live in a world saturated by technology, looking for ways to escape the noise, but still rely on it heavily to enhance our lives.
My escape was to get a classic digital watch - the Casio A158W being my daily driver for the last few years. What an amazing time piece - the combination of aesthetics, functionality, build quality and no hassle battery life, all at a reasonable price. A quiet engineering marvel in my opinion and the embodiment of “less is more”.
But the digital watch has its limitations. It’s extremely functional, but it doesn’t do much. This is where the concept of the Ollee Watch came along. Is there space for a classic time piece that doesn’t compromise on the looks, the ease of use, the battery life, but provides some quality of life features we’ve all come to depend on? Something as simple as managing a daily alarm, tracking activity and fitness, reducing phone screen time - but without the hassle of constant notifications, and charging every day. I imagine many people don’t want another smart phone on their wrist.
Ollee Watch has been in development since early 2024 and I’m very excited to share my passion with the amazing community of enthusiasts, modders, and those that are just looking for a reliable, simple, smartwatch. The experience was designed with the user in mind - a classic watch that feels familiar, but loaded with features and customization that lets you express yourself, get the most out of your watch, and minimize the noise in your life. A nod to the past, built for the present.
