Software Update: Winter / Q1 2026
Another quarter, another release! This was a big one. It took a little bit longer than expected due to a handful of firsts that needed to be built out and tested for scale - including firmware update, adding new faces, and system settings. The good news is there’s a pretty solid foundation now in the Ollee Watch platform to allow these types of features to be developed and deployed more quickly in the future.
I’d like to give a special thank you to the Beta testers from the Discord Community, their enthusiasm and feedback was super helpful in nailing down the last few features and bugs in this release. With that, here is a breakdown of what to expect with the Winter (Q1) 2026 software update.
Download the Update
Download the updated version of the Ollee Watch app from the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android), Version 1.0.5 is the new release. The update will be live the week of April 6 - some regions may get it before others, so please allow a few days for it to distribute globally. Note this update is compatible with all Ollee Watch hardware!
Firmware Upgrade
This update requires a firmware upgrade to the Ollee Watch. While it’s been streamlined in the app, it does have some edge cases to be aware of. Please see the video below before you do the upgrade, just to know what to expect.
Feature Highlights
Check out this little highlight video to see some of the new features in action!
New Features and Fixes
Version 1.0.5 has over 20 features and fixes added to the platform. The breakdown of each new addition is provided below:
Clock drift and offset - automatic compensation
Many users reported seeing a significant clock drift on the Ollee Watch, sometimes a few seconds a day. The watch now has automatic compensation to dramatically reduce any drift and offset.
As long as you have Clock auto sync enabled (Settings > Time Settings), the watch will calibrate for the clock drift each time you sync with the app.
The watch will only calibrate if at least 6 hours have passed since the last sync (for example, overnight). The longer the period between syncs, the better the calibration results. You do not need to sync regularly for the calibration to stay in effect.
Interval Timer
The Timer face now has a Pomodoro / interval mode
There are now 10 preset / interval slots
Interval timer can now be started by holding the ALARM button
Intervals can be configured in the Timer tab in the app
Alarm face
7 new chimes have been added to the Alarm face, most were requested by users!
Flip to snooze gesture lets you flip the watch on its face to snooze the alarm (if snooze is enabled), or turn it off (if snooze is disabled).
Stopwatch - extended mode
Stopwatch face can now run in milli-seconds or seconds mode, allowing the maximum stopwatch period to be 24 hours.
If you run it in milli-second mode - it will automatically continue counting in seconds mode after the 1 hour mark
New Game “C“ face - Poker!
Custom weekday names
Weekday names can now be customized by the user. For example, you can change “MO” (Monday) to “LU” (Lundi), if you’re a French speaker, and so on.
Weekday names apply to all faces that use them
Clock format (24H vs. AM/PM) - can now be locked in the app! The World Time face still allows you to toggle between the two.
Glance to Favorite face - Perform a glance gesture on the Clock face twice in a row to jump to the Favorite face. It will go back to the Clock face after a few seconds if no buttons are pressed. This is a great feature to quickly access another watch face, hands-free.
Heart Rate - configurable target beats
The number of target beats for the pulsometer can now be configured by the user
Lower target beats means a faster measurement, higher target beats means a more accurate measurement
Power options
The app provides more insights into the expected battery life based on the power options selected in Settings > Device Settings.
Motion deep sleep option added
Do not disturb mode uses the sunrise / sunset times to silent some audio features and enable the backlight tilt (if set).
Audio mute - toggle on watch
You can now quickly enable / disable the audio mute by pressing the LIGHT button on the name tag screen (holding ALARM button on Clock face).
Light toggle - There is a toggle mode for the LIGHT button now, allowing all watch faces to be used with the backlight on. The backlight will toggle off when returning to the Clock face.
Step Counter - The step counter filter is now enabled on the Step Counter face. The step count will update only once the first couple dozen steps have registered. Note this is not expected to significantly improve the accuracy of the step counter.
New settings and fixes
The triple-tap gesture to enable the Bluetooth can now be disabled
The temperature sensor now works independently from the motion sensor. You can disable the motion sensor and still collect temperature readings.
Watch face timeout (3 minutes) can now be disabled
Omissions and Future Plans
One feature that was slated for this release was a 5-slot Daily Alarm. Unfortunately this required a bit of re-architecting that simply didn’t make it in time for this release. However it’s at the top of the list for the next release!
An updated roadmap will be posted in a couple of weeks with some of the items re-prioritized. Thanks again for supporting the project and I hope you enjoy the new features!
